Doi Inthanon is a mountain peak that is over 2,225 meters high, ranking as the third highest peak in Thailand. Doi Inthanon has been designated as a UNESCO biosphere reserve, so before hiking up Doi Inthanon, one must undergo training to learn various rules and regulations, and in order for hikers to help preserve nature to remain as it always has been. The hike may take up to 5 hours, so it is recommended to start in the morning and camping is not allowed at the summit because the ascent is quite steep and dangerous, so hikers must camp at the designated camping area before reaching the summit.

By car
From Chiang Mai province, take Highway 107, Chiang Mai-Fang, through Mae Rim district, Mae Taeng district, to Chiang Dao district, a distance of approximately 70 kilometers. Then, turn left at the Chiang Dao Inn hotel into the Chiang Dao Cave tourist route, about 3 kilometers. There will be a left turn to the village of Yang Poo To, the last route to Doi Chiang Dao Wildlife Research Station, a distance of about 3 kilometers

Arrive at Chiang Mai Airport, then you can hire a car, motorcycle, or taxi to visit Doi Chiang Dao Wildlife Research Station
